MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) — Two men were arrested after police said a Sunday morning traffic stop revealed multiple illegal firearms in Manchester.
Kevin Archer Jr., 19, and Xavier Rodriguez, 18, both of Manchester, are facing multiple charges stemming from a traffic stop on West Middle Turnpike.
At approximately 3:13 a.m., police stopped a vehicle for a violation in the 80 block of West Middle Turnpike.
Police said they located a loaded firearm in the waistband of Archer Jr.'s pants, a second loaded firearm under the driver's seat and a third loaded firearm in Rodriguez's backpack.
The firearms were allegedly equipped with high-capacity magazines containing 24, 20 and 16 rounds, with one firearm being additionally equipped with a "switch," allowing it to be fired at a high rate of spee
