The National Weather Service released a frost advisory at 2:22 p.m. on Sunday valid for Monday between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. for Passaic, Bergen, Essex and Union counties.
The weather service says to expect, “Temperatures as low as 33 degrees will result in frost formation.”
“Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered,” states the weather service. “Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.”
