The National Weather Service issued a frost advisory at 2:22 p.m. on Sunday valid for Monday between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. for Rockland and Westchester counties.

The weather service states to prepare for, "Temperatures as low as 33 degrees will result in frost formation."

"Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered," describes the weather service. "Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold."
