FOXBOROUGH – TreVeyon Henderson was having the best game of his NFL career when disaster struck.
A week ago, Henderson was briefly used in the Patriots win over Tennessee, running the ball twice for 5 yards. On Sunday, the running back showed everyone why the Patriots drafted him in the second round, averaging 7.7 yards per carry and leading the team with a career-high 77 rushing yards.
In the fourth quarter, it looked like he’d end his day with a touchdown. Instead, Henderson fumbled on the 4-yard line at 4:59 of the fourth quarter. For the rookie, it was a tough way to end Sunday’s blowout win over the Cleveland Browns .
