FOXBOROUGH - TreVeyon Henderson finally made some noise, the kind that was expected from the rookie running back.
Even with a fumble, Henderson made an impact gaining 77 yards on 10 carries to lead the team.
The rookie, who has had a disappointing season thus far, was especially effective in pitch plays. He had an explosive gain for 27 yards to set up a third quarter score.
During his Monday morning press conference, Patriots coach Mike Vrabel made note of the rookie’s contribution.
“I thought he ran well out in space. I thought he made good cuts on those perimeter plays,” Vrabel said. “We’ll continue to work (with him). He got a couple of returns.
