Two people died Sunday in a vehicle collision on Highway 2 at Stevens Pass.
The collision around 1 p.m. involved two vehicles and blocked the highway’s eastbound lanes, according to the Washington State Patrol.
A half-hour after the crash, a trooper at the scene reported rain coming down and snow on the shoulder of the highway, Trooper Kelsey Harding said. The temperature was 35 degrees.
In addition to the two people who died, two people were taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, Harding said.
As of 5:15 p.m., Harding didn’t have any additional information.
