NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — A Freeze Warning has been issued for parts of Western New York.

The warning — for Niagara County, Orleans County, and northern Erie and Genesee counties — starts at 11 p.m. Sunday and runs through 9 a.m. Monday. Cities in the impacted area include Buffalo, Niagara Falls, and Batavia.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the upper 20s and near 30, with the exception of areas near the immediate Lake Ontario shoreline, according to the National Weather Service. "The coldest temperatures are expected further away from the immediate Lake Ontario shoreline," it said Sunday.

Frost and freeze conditions could impact crops, sensitive vegetation, and unprotected outdoor plumbing.
