VANCOUVER, Wash. — A man was shot and killed Sunday morning in the parking lot of a Vancouver apartment complex, and two suspects remain at large, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded around 7:49 a.m. to reports of multiple gunshots in the 9400 block of Northeast 19th Avenue, the sheriff’s office said in a news release. When they arrived, deputies found an adult male in the front seat of a car with a gunshot wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses told investigators they saw two men wearing masks going back and forth between the victim’s car and a red Lexus after the gunfire. The suspects then took off in the Lexus, traveling south on Interstate 5 toward Portland, where it was reportedly last seen taking Exit 307.
