DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - The Duluth Depot got into the Halloween spirit while allowing all types of costumed figures to view the history of Duluth’s railways.

Families walked around the museum, touring haunted boxcabs and looking for ghosts before competing in a costume contest.

The carnival was started just a year ago by a youth volunteer. The goal? To encourage kids to interact with all that the Depot has to offer, regardless of the time of year.

“We can’t do anything without the community,” said Duluth Depot Youth Program Volunteer Marcus Madsen. “So, we appreciate the support they’ve given us, and their passion for our organization is what allows us to keep going.”
