There’s no doubt that Russell Westbrook can still hoop. Despite his declining athleticism, he can certainly contribute to a team in short bursts, even a larger role if he’s in a groove. That’s why it’s quite bizarre that it took so long for Westbrook to find a new home in the league.
Now playing backup point guard duties for the Sacramento Kings, it looks like the former one-time NBA MVP has found his joy again. He has been moving well at age 36, and his intensity on the court remains solid.
On a transition play against the visiting Los Angeles Lakers, Russell Westbrook has seemingly found the fountain of youth. He grabbed the rebound, dribbled the ball across the court, and surprisingly pulled a slick crossover against Lakers forward Jake LaRavia. The clip has been shared on X by Bleach
