Former India U-19 captain Prithvi Shaw is playing for Maharashtra in the 2025-26 edition of the Ranji Trophy, and in only his second match of the premier domestic competition for the new team, he entered his name in the history books. The right-handed batter, who has represented India in all three formats of the game, on Monday (October 27), scored the third-fastest century in Ranji Trophy history.

Shaw needed just 141 balls to reach the 200-run mark in the second innings of the ongoing Ranji Trophy Elite Group B match between Maharashtra and Chandigarh at Sector 16 Stadium in Chandigarh.

He has hammered 28 fours and 3 sixes so far.
