A road and roundabout outside Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge has reopened, after a closure was put in place to widen the carriageway and paths. Fendon Road and the roundabout it leads to, situated to the east of the hospital, are now open to traffic.
Overnight closures are likely, as new traffic signals are put in place and path-widening work is completed. The project carried out by the Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) is aimed at improving safety for pedestrians and cyclists .
A GCP spokesperson explained: "Fendon Road and Addenbrooke's roundabout are both now fully open and resurfacing has been completed as part of the Greater Cambridge Partnership scheme.
