WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Tanganyika Wildlife Park celebrating the arrival of a litter of cheetah cubs born to Juliet and Jesse on Oct. 11.

Because cheetah cub mortality is high in the wild, big litters are common. The world record for the largest successful cheetah litter is eight cubs.

Ten were born in this litter, and the large size contributed to the loss of three cubs. To give the remaining cubs the best start, the litter was moved to the animal care nursery, where the seven surviving cubs (three males and four females) are supported in incubators and receiving round-the-clock bottle feeds to ensure proper nutrition and the best chance at survival.
