What can you expect at the tag office?: Employees give insight into improvements, challenges following consolidation

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A couple of weeks after Sedgwick County consolidated down to one main tag office in Wichita, 12 News got an inside look at how the tag office operates, with employees doing what they can to help and keep the lines moving.

“We’re always busy, but the line is usually out the door,” said tag office employee Jeremy Crocket, answering questions at the information desk. “Every day’s about the same. I guess Mondays and Fridays are pretty extra.”

Sedgwick County Tag Office Supervisor Kayla Corbett said the environment at the office near Douglas and Meridian (now the sole main tag office in Wichita) can be hectic. With the tag office for about five years, Corbett discussed the challenge of balancing multiple requests at once while trying to minimize waiting times.
