WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A ribbon-cutting was held Monday morning for the new Get Active in Nature (G.A.I.N.) 60+ Exercise Park, which was built inside Sedgwick County Park.
This exercise area is an outdoor gym designed for adults 60 and older. It features 11 strength and resistance exercise stations. Five of these stations are wheelchair accessible.
Anyone is welcome to use the equipment, even if they are younger than 60. The G.A.I.N. Exercise Park is completely free to use and designed to improve core strength, increase your heart rate, improve strength and maintain balance.
The outdoor gym was five years in the making, and it was made possible with funding from the Older Americans Act and the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services. It can be found near the Boundless Playgro
