NEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) - Fire tore through a home this morning in New Bern.

New Bern officials say fire crews were called to the house on fire on Rennys Creek Drive around 5:30 a.m.

Officials say everyone made it out of the home safely, but one dog was injured and another dog is unaccounted for.

The home is a total loss, but no other houses nearby were impacted by the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
