SRINAGAR, Oct 27: Minister of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Satish Sharma today informed Legislative House that there is currently no shortage of food grains in the Keran and Jamgund areas of Kupwara.

He was responding to the Calling Attention Motion moved by MLA Mir Saifullah.

While calling attention motion about the non-availability of food grains, Mir Saifullah said that the far flung areas of Keran and Jumgand remain closed for six months during the winter owing to heavy snowfall and face shortage of food grains.
