There’s a reason that the City Sampler is one of the most popular fall fundraisers in Fairbanks. It is delicious, and it supports critical local programs — senior services through Fairbanks Resource Agency.
The line was long before doors opened at the 8 Star Events Center on Thursday. Inside, restaurant owners meticulously arranged their delicious culinary offerings for hungry supporters about to come through the doors.
In past years, tickets were limited to about 300 people. But this year’s venue was a little bigger, so 450 tickets had been sold before doors opened for the two-hour feast of finger foods.
The Fairbanks Community Jazz Ensemble entertained guests as they wandered from booth to booth. The entertainment included songstress Gwendolyn Brazier.
