BRIDGEPORT, Wis. (WFRV) - A driver in Wisconsin received a citation on Thursday after a head-on crash left two people hurt, authorities say.
According to a release from the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 60 near Vet Lane in the Town of Bridgeport.
Officials say 47-year-old Christopher Gardner from Merril was driving his vehicle west on State Highway 60 when he attempted to pass a highway department personnel who was mowing alongside the highway, leading to a head-on crash with an eastbound vehicle.
The driver of the eastbound vehicle, 72-year-old Merlin Fritz from Boscobel, and a passenger from Gardner's vehicle were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
