SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Happy Monday, Utah! A cold front is moving through northern Utah Monday, bringing cooler temperatures and mountain snow.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the mountains north of I-80 and east of I-15 through 12PM Monday. 1-4" of snow will be possible for portions of the Wasatch Range. 6-12" will be possible for the Bear River Range and 4-8" for higher peaks north and east of I-84.

Areas of central and southern Utah will enjoy plenty of sunshine on Monday afternoon. Highs will only be in the upper 40s to lower 50s across northern Utah and in the 60s and 70s for southern Utah.

The next weather maker for Tuesday into midweek will be a big ridge of high pressure that will settle over Utah. This will bring the famous "Inversion season" back to the Wasatch Fro
