BEAUFORT, S.C. (WSAV) — In the Lowcountry, people have been taking to the historic streets of Beaufort this October to learn about the haunting tales of the city; and it’s all for a good cause.
For 31 years, the Child Abuse Prevention Association (CAPA), and the Exchange Club of Beaufort, have been hosting ghost tours around the city.
By foot, or horse carriage, people learn about the unique and sometimes scary history of Beaufort through guided tours.
Everything is volunteer based, from the actors dressed in costume, the horses pulling the carriage to the tour guides navigating the streets.
Jorge Guerrero, a Port Royal Town Councilman, volunteered alongside his wife, Catheryn, and daughter, Liliana.
They were re-enacting a young debutante family leaving a garden party.
