REDDING, Calif. - A Shasta County man was convicted of shooting at Redding City Hall in April 2025. Brandon Charles Kaefer faced several weapons charges, including negligent discharge of a gun.
Last week, a Shasta County jury found Kaefer guilty on all charges, including discharge of a firearm with gross negligence, felon in possession of a firearm, and felon in possession of ammunition.
Prosecutors said Kaefer got into an argument with an associate at the Parkview Market and fired two shots towards Redding City Hall and the Redding Police Department. Surveillance video from Parkview Market identified Kaefer as the shooter.
