Police are treating the death of a man whose body was found near a railway tunnel in Edinburgh this morning as unexplained.

At 7.45am officers were called to Spylaw Park, near the Colinton Tunnel.

The area was cordoned off to facilitate the investigation into the circumstances.

Officers said that their enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.45am on Monday, 27 October, 2025, we were made aware of the death of a man in the area of Spylaw Park, Edinburgh.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
