TOLEDO, Ohio — A 21-year-old inside a disabled vehicle died after being hit from behind on I-75 in Toledo early Saturday morning, according to police.
TPD said the 21-year-old from Toledo was in the far left lane on southbound I-75 at the Phillips Avenue entrance around 3:49 a.m. when they were struck from behind by another car, pushing them into the median wall. According to police, the 21-year-old was ejected from the vehicle.
The 21-year-old was taken to the hospital, where they later died. The driver of the other involved vehicle, a 41-year-old from Rossford, was not injured, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
