Adelaide’s skyline is set to undergo a historic transformation, with the Malinauskas Labor Government announcing a major partnership with Adelaide Airport to remove height restrictions across the city. According to the Government, the move aims to boost housing supply, cut red tape for developers, and reshape how South Australians live and work in the CBD.
Under the proposal, known as the City Building Heights Code Amendment , developers will have pre-approval to build up to 10 to 15 storeys higher than current limits in many parts of the city. For example, a development on West Terrace currently restricted to three storeys could be pre-approved for 20, creating opportunities for more apartments and investment.
