PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A serial robbery suspect was arrested Saturday after over a half-dozen robberies around Portland, officials said.

Between Sept. 16 and Oct. 6, Portland police said there were robberies at five "tavern-type" businesses around north and east Portland.

Early Saturday morning, police served a warrant at a home on Southwest Canyon Court, where Demetrius E. Hillman, 32, was taken into custody.

A second was served at another location on North Salem Avenue, which police said was also related to the robbery investigation.

In total, investigators said they believe Hillman is connected to over a half-dozen robberies going back to the start of September.

Currently, Hillman faces 15 charges related to robbery and theft, but police said that more charges could be added foll
