NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The North Charleston Police Department has arrested a teen and a youth after an altercation with officers Sunday evening.
Amarion Drayton, 18, is charged with breach of peace and third-degree assault and battery, according to jail records.
The male youth is charged with possession of a firearm by an unlawful person. His name has not been identified because of his age.
Officers patrolled the area of Stark Lane around 5:30 p.m. after they responded to reports of increased gun and narcotic activity in the Dorchester Terrace area. Upon arrival, they noticed a group of people walking in the roadway and when the group saw the police vehicles, the group ran into Big Daddy Deals, a convenience store.
