PORTLAND - Newly-named state Sen. Christine Drazan, R-Canby, will once again vie for Oregon governor, she announced Oct. 27.

"And so today, we begin. With confidence in the boundless future of our state, the character of our people, and our ability to build and achieve absolutely anything we set out to accomplish together, I announce my candidacy for the governor of the great state of Oregon." Drazan said at a campaign launch in a manufacturing facility of Gunderson Marine & Iron in Portland.

She characterized the launch as a step toward addressing issues like drug addiction, homelessness, crime, lagging recovery of scores in education, and affordability.
