VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) - The calendar says it’s Halloween week, but head to Valdosta, and just about everyone will say it’s Winnersville Week.

Valdosta and Lowndes High schools will meet on the football field for the 64th time on Friday.

It’s such a big deal that the city moved its Halloween events to Thursday, and that’s not the only competition between the Wildcats and Vikings this week.

In the spirit of competition, the Winnersville Classic Blood Drive kicked off on Monday.

Each school and its fans are trying to out-give each other. There’s a different donation location each day.

Oct.27: McDonald’s 1177 N Saint Augustine Rd., 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Oct. 28: Lowndes County Board of Education, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Oct. 29: Airport Clinic Gil Harbin, 9 a.m. to
