COLQUITT COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) has released further details, including the name of the driver, in a hit-and-run crash that took the life of a 52-year-old man in Colquitt County.

GSP said that Larry Nelms, a 62-year-old, is the suspected driver. Nelms is charged with distracted driving, vehicular homicide, following too closely, failure to maintain lane, serious injury by vehicle, failure to report accident with injury or death and leaving the scene of an accident.
The accident was on Oct. 18 at about 9 p.m. on State Route 133 near Mike Horne Road in Colquitt County.
