A special council meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday at 6 p.m., where Integrity Commissioner Guy Giorno will present the findings of his inquiry report regarding Mayor Chirico’s expenses.
Chirico is currently under investigation for using the city’s corporate credit card for $16,000 worth of personal expenses to include beer and wings, cigarettes, green fees at Osprey Golf Course in Callander, and North Bay Battalion hockey tickets.
Chirico is also under investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police. He has been asked to take a leave of absence from the North Bay Police Services Board and the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Board.
