RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB) - The Rapides Area Planning Commission met with the Rapides Parish Police Jury as part of the Move 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan update.

The meeting focused on local transportation priorities, road maintenance, safety needs and how parish and regional planning efforts can work together. No votes were taken, as the meeting was for information and discussion only.

Move 2050 aims to bring together local leaders, stakeholders and elected officials across the metro area to identify transportation improvements needed in their districts.
