NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) - The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect wanted for rape.

Ernest Lard is described as a 50-year-old Black male, 5′09″ tall, weighs about 180 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair.

NPSO said he is wanted in connection with an alleged rape that happened in Campti on October 20. The victim was treated at a medical center by a sexual assault nurse examiner and interviewed by investigators.

Lard is known to have ties to Natchitoches, Bienville, Caddo and Red River parishes and may have different modes of travel.
