ROCKLAND, Mass. —

One man has died and another was seriously injured following a tree-trimming incident in Rockland, Massachusetts, on Monday morning.

Rockland police say they received several 911 calls around 10:45 a.m. for two men who fell from a bucket truck at 24 North Ave.

The men were trimming trees from a boom truck.

Arriving officers found the two victims lying on the ground in a parking lot. One of the victims, a 72-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz's office.

His identity is not being released at this time.

The other man was transported to South Shore Hospital for serious injuries.
