ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - District 4 Commissioner Mike Francis, the chairman of the Louisiana Public Service Commission, stopped in Central Louisiana on Oct. 27, where he spoke on the potential for a data center in the area and the sale of Cleco.
The Jena native leads the commission, which aims to ensure public utilities and common carriers, under its jurisdiction, provide safe, reliable and reasonably priced services.
“Louisiana’s electricity is going up slower than other places in the country,” he said. “That’s all we can do is control the price of increases, and we are controlling that.
