CASSIA COUNTY, Idaho — A 56-year-old man accused of killing four people in Southern Idaho has been found competent to stand trial, according to court officials.
Benjamin Naylor was deemed fit to stand trial during a competency evaluation hearing on Oct. 24, 2025, according to Susan Ryan, media representative for Cassia and Minidoka counties. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 20, 2025.
Naylor faces four counts of first-degree murder in connection with homicides that occurred on July 8, 2025 , in both Cassia and Minidoka counties. He is being held without bond and has been appointed a public defender in both counties, according to the Cassia County Prosecutor's Office.
