PHOENIX — SpaceX is launching satellites that could be visible in Arizona.
SpaceX's Falcon 9 will be launching 28 Starlink satellites on Monday evening from the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
This is the 17th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, according to SpaceX's website, which previously launched USSF-62, OneWeb Launch 20, NROL-145, and 13 Starlink missions.
"Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship, which will be stationed in the Pacific Ocean," SpaceX's website said.
While Arizonans likely won't hear any sonic booms as a result of the launch, SpaceX said residents of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties may hear one or more sonic booms.
The targeted liftoff time is 5:4
