A boy was hospitalized after he was struck by a car while riding a bicycle in Bridgeport on Monday afternoon.

Officers responded to Broad Street and Linden Avenue around 2:30 p.m. on a report of a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian crash, according to the Bridgeport Police Department .

Arriving officers learned that a young boy was knocked off his bicycle and transported to Bridgeport Hospital with a possible broken arm, police said.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation.

The incident remains under investigation and no arrests were made at this time, police said.
