FAIRFIELD GLADE, Tenn. — Eighty-eight people will lose their jobs at the end of the year in Cumberland County after a Notice filed with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development showed that Club Wyndham in Fairfield Glade will close.
The notice said the resort's last day will be Dec. 31, with state officials saying workers with the Upper Cumberland Local Workforce Development Area Rapid Response Team are working with the employees.
That team will help them with resources and other tools they need to file for unemployment benefits and find a new job.
According to the location's website, a majority of the ownership for the resort voted to cease operations and close the resort at the end of the year.
