A Stamford man is facing DUI charges in connection with a serious crash involving a dump truck in Stamford in July.
The Stamford Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad recently completed an investigation into a serious injury motor vehicle collision that took place on Long Ridge Road near the intersection with Roxbury Road around 9 p.m. on July 28, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Booth of the Stamford Police Department .
The investigation revealed that a 2007 Sterling full-size dump truck was traveling southbound on Long Ridge Road and was slowing down as the traffic light was turning red when a 2024 Kia EV6 SUV, also traveling south on Long Ridge Road, hit the back of the dump truck, Booth said.
