A Sydney mother has revealed the horrifying letter she received from a neighbour threatening to kill her dogs using "Erin Patterson mushroom recipes".

The mother-of-two, who lives in Cremorne, said the barking of her two dogs had angered her neighbour, to the extent which she received a death against threat against her pets.

The lower North Shore resident posted the letter on Facebook, saying she would contact police over the message which was titled: "Neighbours with the f***ing barking bulldog".

"Your woeful inattention to your dogs and their continual barking is driving your neighbours to distraction. Do something about it..." the letter read.

"I notice they appreciate the treats that I throw into your backyard and stay quiet for a period. I am now looking at Erin Patterson mushroom
