While the mushroom killer case shocked an entire nation, one Sydney woman oddly seems to have taken inspiration — using the infamous murders as a veiled threat in a horrifying letter.

A mother-of-two in Cremorne, a suburb in Sydney’s Lower North Shore, took to Facebook to share a letter she received from her neighbour complaining about her two dogs barking.

“NEIGHBOURS with the f***ing barking bulldog,” the letter began.

“Your woeful inattention to your dogs and their continual barking is driving your neighbours to distraction, do something about it.”

The neighbour then mentioned they had thrown treats into the woman’s back yard previously, which came as a surprise to the homeowner.

The next line, however, shocked the woman to her core.
