Australian T20 captain Mitch Marsh is adamant he’s given no thought to the prospect of a Test return but could add Sheffield Shield to his schedule after national coach Andrew McDonald declared selectors had not “given up” on him.
Marsh, who was dropped after the Boxing Day Test against India last summer, has had his name thrown back into the Test mix on the back of his stunning batting form across ODI and T20 cricket.
He is averaging more than 60 in ODIs in 2025 and 71.50 in T20Is, all as captain, batting at the top of the order and has won support from the likes of former England captain Michael Vaughan as a “Baz ball” style of batter who could help Australia against England.
