BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Blount County Sheriff’s Office said a Maryville teen was killed in a crash Sunday night.

According to a crash report obtained by WVLT News, 18-year-old Zander Lewis was driving west on Wildwood Road at around 10:15 p.m. when his car began to yaw and ran off the left side of the road.

The report said Lewis’s car hit a concrete culvert, overturned over a driveway, went into a ditch and hit a tree before coming to a final rest against the tree. Lewis died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Additionally, a wheel from the car came loose during the crash and hit another car about 100 yards away.

According to the report, it was raining at the time of the crash, and Lewis was going too fast for the roadway conditions.
