NEWPORT, Tenn. (WVLT) - Tennessee SNAP households won’t be getting benefits in November if the federal government continues to be shut down, according to the state’s Human Services Department .

To combat this in Cocke County, Mayor Rob Mathis said food distributions will be held at various locations around the county Monday through Saturday with the exception of Thanksgiving Day.
