MARIETTA, Ga. — Marietta Police are investigating after officers said a stepson shot his stepfather multiple times at an apartment complex on Monday evening.

Police now say that the 26-year-old man accused of shooting his stepfather is on the run.

It all started when officers were called out to 13 Ridge Run just before 6:30 p.m. for a "heated domestic dispute" between the stepson and his 58-year-old stepfather. Officers said after they arrived, they found the stepfather with multiple gunshot wounds and he was rushed to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.

The stepson, 26-year-old Fharron Banks, left the scene before officers showed up and drove away in a black Nissan Rogue, police said. Marietta Police put out a Be On The Lookout (BOLO) for Banks and his vehicle, which has the tag number SLI64
