Martin O'Neill believes neither Old Firm side will win the Scottish Premiership title this season.
His title prediction came just hours before being named Celtic's new interim manager.
O'Neill has returned to his former club on a temporary basis following Brendan Rodgers' exit on Monday night.
Rodgers resigned from the role after Celtic fell eight points behind leaders Hearts with their defeat at Tynecastle on Sunday.
The defending champions will now be managed by their former boss, who won three league titles during his first spell from 2000 to 2005.
O'Neill also guided Celtic to the UEFA Cup final during his previous tenure.
However, the Northern Irishman delivered his title prediction for this season ahead of his Celtic Park return.
