A teenage boy has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after two men were seriously injured following an incident in Aberdeen city centre .

Emergency services were called to the scene on Bon Accord Street shortly after 3am on Sunday, October 26.

Two men aged 18 and 20 were taken to hospital where their conditions were described as serious, with a 16-year-old arrested and charged by police.

On Monday the boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court where he faced five charges.
