Phil Parkinson is trying to juggle his injury and suspension hit squad to get through tonight’s League Cup clash with Cardiff ahead of what he’s described as a “big game” against Championship leaders Coventry City .
The Wrexham boss admits he has half an eye on the clash with the Sky Blues but also has the considerable carrot of a place in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup to play for, should his side progress past their Welsh rivals in the first of two huge matches at the Racecourse Ground this week.
Parkinson has utilised his squad in the competition this season but a number of players are carrying knocks and midfield duo Ollie Rathbone and former Coventry captain Ben Sheaf are “touch and go” after missing Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough.
Parkinson still has options all
