On the morning of Oct. 25, the Senoia Police Department was alerted by Piedmont Newnan Hospital of an alleged assault and rape that occurred at a Stallings Road residence.

According to a press release from SPD, investigators met with the victim, who told them she was allegedly held down by Benjamin Gage Meiller, 31, with a gun to her head and raped.

Warrants were issued by a superior court judge to search Meiller's home, according to the press release.

Because a firearm was allegedly used during the crime, SPD requested assistance from the Peachtree City Police Department Special Response Team to execute the warrants.

Officers reportedly arrived at Meiller's home around 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 25, but he was not there.

Meiller was later arrested at his job in Troup County by the Troup Coun
